Gap Analysis confirms the status of the system now, as to the requirements of the standard. Identifying documents or document controls requiring improvement, development or requiring forward movement. Identify how these documents translate to the work stations. Review the effectiveness. Review of performance to customer, corrective actions internal/external, documentation etc.

PRODUCTION SYSTEM ASSESSMENT

For World Class Manufacturing - current state compared to the Standard Production System (SPS) and Quality Systems.


Allows for establishing a baseline to assess further the implementation strategy and a roadmap to prioritization of the SPS – Categories are: 

  • Leader Standard Work, Visual Production, Visual Support, Daily Accountability, Process Definition, Discipline Adherence to the Process, Root Cause Problem Solving, Process Improvement

WASTE IDENTIFICATION / 

ELIMINATION

Plant wide or specific areas– fast improvements to efficiencies, downtime, scrap, etc.
